The Town of Wilton's Public Works Department seeks a Field Engineer. This highly-responsible position is charged with planning, organizing, and performing professional engineering work in the design, development of cost estimates, project management, construction, and inspection of Public Works projects and facilities. The scope of responsibility covers, but is not limited to, the design and inspection of Town road improvement projects, sewer and water construction projects, and major Town improvement projects. The position provides engineering consultation to Town departments, boards, and commission. The Field Engineer assists the Director of Public Works in all aspects of the office administration, including participating in short and long-range planning of Public Works programs, projects, and improvements, developing the department operating and capital improvement budgets, representing the Town at meetings of boards, agencies, organizations, and the general public, and supervising department staff at the direction of the Director.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer's License in the State of Connecticut, or the ability to obtain same within six (6) months of hire.
- Minimum ten (10) years experience in the field of engineering and/or engineering construction related to public works and/or private construction projects.
- Valid Connecticut motor vehicle operator's license.
Starting salary range: $65,000 -- 80,000, DOQ.

Wilton’s Public Works Department seeks Driver to plow and sand all Town maintained roads and perform manual labor involved in Public Works projects.
Requirements:
- CT Class B CDL driver’s license.
- Minimum 5 years experience as Driver of dump truck.
- Driving record free of moving violations for past 5 years.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Compensation: $22.79/Hour (40 Hour Work Week)
