Transfer Station Closed for Labor Day
The Wilton Solid Waste Transfer Station located on Mather Street will be closed Saturday, August 30, 2008 and Monday, September 1, 2008 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

The Public Works Department responsibilities include routine repair and maintenance on all Town roads, snow and ice control during the winter months, the removal of accumulated winter sand by the Departments' sweeping operations, cleaning and repairing of drainage systems and structures. The Public Works Department oversees the Town's solid waste and recycling operations.
Recycling Dropoff Now Located at Transfer Station
Effective August 1, 2008, the dumpster for recyclable materials that was located at the Town Hall Complex has been relocated to the Mather Street Transfer Station to comply with DEP permits. A permit to use the Transfer Station Facility is required and is $35 per fiscal year and can be obtained at the Town Clerk's Office
